Physician Services
The long-term care facility is attached to the Medical Clinic which provides a full range of health care services to the residents.
Nursing Services
Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses are on duty at all times to provide medication administration and treatments. Certified Nursing Assistants are present 24 hours daily to provide bedside nursing care, restorative and rehabilitation programs and assist with activities of daily living. |

Physical Therapy
The center has two full-time therapists to provide the following rehabilitative services:
- Ambulation/gait training
- Therapeutic exercises/strengthening
- Rehabilitation for strokes, fractures, musculoskeletal and neurological problems, arthritis and orthopedic problems
- Heat treatments to relieve pain

Nutritional Services
Residents have input on meal planning through monthly resident council and quarterly food committee meetings. Residents also enjoy:

Social Services
To assist residents to the highest level of social functioning and obtain medical and social services beyond the scope of the facility, social services attends to the following: |

- Referrals for medically necessary services/appointments
- Discharge planning

Activities
At the Littlefork Medical Center, residents are offered a wide range of activities which provide stimulation, promote physical, cognitive and/or emotional health, enhance as practicable each resident's physical and mental status. Activities are offered seven days a week at various times of the day to meet the needs of all residents. Examples of activities offered include: |
- Daily exercises
- Social Hour am & pm
- Daily devotions
- Therapeutic/recreational games
- Monthly resident birthday parties/special events
- Sunday afternoon church services by alternating churches and clergy
- Current events on a weekly basis
- Service groups visit with a variety of activities on a frequent basis
- Other specialty events surrounding holidays and happenings

| Our staff strive to meet the needs of our residents on an individual basis. When you reside in the Littlefork Medical Center, you will be treated with the same respect and dignity as in your own home. Activities on a more personal and individual basis include: |
- 1-1 programs
- Intergenerational programs bringing together both the young and the old
- Religious and social activities geared for the individual
- Personal grooming services offered by local volunteers
- Recreational and cultural activities

Transportation
An exciting feature offered is the availability of a 12-passenger mid-size bus equipped with a wheelchair lift, four wheelchair tie-downs, and regular seating which allows the center to offer a variety of activities to all residents. Excursions range from: |
- Casino trips
- Lunch and supper outings to a variety of restaurants in the area
- "Country Rides" allowing enjoyment of all four seasons
- Annual houseboat trips
- Visiting places of interest

Participation
Residents participate in the planning of activities as well as have input into the care they receive through: |
- Monthly Resident Council meetings
- Family Council meetings
- The "Home" Front - a monthly publication by the facility which informs families and friends of upcoming events and other important information
- Resident/family surveys taken randomly to measure the satisfaction of care and services provided by the facility
- Quarterly resident/family care planning
