Pineview Recovery Center is a 10-bed chemical dependency program located in the south wing of the Littlefork Medical Center complex in Littlefork, Minnesota. Littlefork is a small, peaceful community 18 miles southwest of International Falls in Koochiching County. Pineview provides detoxification, primary, and extended care inpatient programs.
Detoxification
Pineview provides medically managed and social detoxification to adults 18 years of age or older in need of safe withdrawal from alcohol and other mood altering substances. Detoxification is the first step in the intervention of the disease process. |

Primary Inpatient Treatment
Pineview provides up to 30 days of inpatient care to persons 18 years of age or older who are alcohol or drug dependant and have experienced one or more of the following problems connected to their use: |
- Family problems
- Legal problems
- Unable to function in a social setting without the use of drugs or alcohol
- Those who lack recognition of a need to change (denial) in spite of problems caused by use
- Court committed or court ordered to primary care due to a legal problem
- Dual diagnosed with mild physical, mental, emotional or learning impairments
- Pregnant women or single custodial parents
- Those diagnosed under Rule 25 assessments as needing primary care

Extended Care Inpatient Treatment
Pineview provides 45-180 days of long-term inpatient treatment. Candidates for extended care are adults, 18 years of age or older, who meet one or more of the following criteria: |
- Chronic recidivists who have had at least two prior treatments followed by a return to use
- Dual diagnosed with mild to moderate physical, mental, emotional or learning impairments
- Those who lack recognition of a need to change (denial) in spite of problems caused by use
- Court committed to extended care
- Court ordered to extended care due to legal problems
- People who are unable to abstain from use outside a facility that controls access to chemicals
- Those diagnosed under Rule 25 assessment as needing extended care

| New Opiate Withdrawal Services using Buprenorphine (Certified Physician) |
Buprenorphine, or Suboxone, is the most recent treatment for Opiate or Synthetic Opiate withdrawal. It helps reduce symptoms of craving and discomfort while you come off Hydrocodone, Vicadin, Oxycontin, Fentanyl patches, Lortabs, Heroin and all other opiates. Dr. Joseph Meyer of the Littlefork Medical Center is certified to administer this medication. Pineview offers a comprehensive approach to opiate withdrawal, combining the medicinal treatment with cognitive therapy. We also help clients develop support systems by providing 12-Step groups on the premises! Out-patient services using the Suboxone are also available through the Littlefork Medical Center Clinic.

Pineview Recovery Center acknowledges the need for alignment of each client’s recovery environment. Our families are deeply aggrieved and impacted by dependency and the often buried rage it causes. Pineview offers ongoing support to families to help them realize Chemical Dependency IS a family illness. Family members are urged to sit down with the counselor to discuss resentments, future plans and obstacles to recovery. |
